— Film photography and Super 8 motion picture

How do I get started?
2
Head to the Contact page and fill out the enquiry form — the more detail you share about your day or project, the better. I read every enquiry personally and will get back to you within 2–4 days. From there, we’ll arrange a call to chat through everything before any decisions are made.
What makes you different?
3
I do the majority of every project myself — I’m your photographer, your creative director, and the person who personally edits every image in your gallery. I’m also your single point of contact from first enquiry to final delivery. For services that genuinely benefit from more than one person — multiple locations, specialist film formats, simultaneous coverage — I bring in trusted specialists from my own carefully chosen network. Most photographers work this way; but I want you to understand the process and know exactly who you are working with each step of the way. No surprises.
I also genuinely care about how you feel in front of the camera. A lot of people get nervous infant of the camera — I take that seriously. I’ll work with you before and during the shoot so that what we capture feels honest, not posed.
How can I contact you?
4
You can reach me via the Contact page, by email at loulouandthemoon@gmail.com, or by direct message on Instagram. I’m also available by phone for existing clients.
A note on timing: I respond to enquiries and messages in the evenings — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 8pm, when I’m not on location. I’m a working mum running this business around a full shoot schedule, so I appreciate your patience. I will always get back to you.
Will you always be my photographer on the day?
5
Yes — always. The responsibility of your images is not a privilege I take lightly at all. I will be your photographer and creative lead on every booking I take on. I’m the person you meet, the person who shows up, and the person who edits your gallery. For bookings that require additional coverage — a second angle, a specialist film technician, simultaneous locations — I bring in trusted specialists I’ve personally chosen. You’ll always know who’s coming along for the journey and will meet them before the shoot day, and you’ll always deal with me personally.
What happens in the case of sickness or emergencies at your end?
6
We are always one step ahead and account for these things - which, besides bringing you the best possible services available, is precisely why I have surrounded myself with an incredible team and of talented and creatively aligned individuals. If for some unforseen reason it becomes impossible for me to be personally present on our session date, there are a few options depending on your session type. If the session has non-critical timing, I will always prefer to be there in person, so if it suits, we can postpone to the first possible date available. For events and sessions that are time-sensitive, I will arrange my team to cover for me in the event of an emergency. You will be updated on all the details, the team will be completely filled in, and you will have my hand picked most trusted professional in my place. I will still continue to be your point of contact, and editor all the way through. I will always have my finger on the pulse, and will never pass your job on to another business whom I cannot vouch for and quality ensure.
How long does it take for me to receive my photos?
7
Different sessions call for different processes. For Melbourne Weddings, sneak peaks are shared within 48 hours. For International and Interstate Weddings, please allow 4–7 days for sneak peaks. Lifestyle photography 24-48hrs and Corporate colouring confirmations are the same time frame.
Full galleries are personally edited, retouched and delivered by me a 4–6 weeks of your shoot date. I take the editing as seriously as the photography — every image is individually retouched before it reaches you. If your gallery delivery lands within peak season (March-May, Oct-Dec) please expect that gallery deliveries will be 6 weeks, and may possibly blow out to 7-8 weeks for international and interstate weddings. If so, we will keep you informed.
How many photo’s will I receive?
8
Each package includes a minimum image count (listed on the Pricing page), but I tend to photograph generously. If I’ve captured more than your package includes, I’ll let you know how many extras are available and you can choose to add as many — or all — of them. Extra edits are delivered within 7–14 days of payment.
Can I customise my package?
9
Yes — almost every package I offer can be tailored. The pricing page gives you a starting point, but no two days are the same and I’d rather build something around your actual needs than fit you into a box. Get in touch and we’ll work it out.
Do you travel for work?
10
Absolutely. I’m based on the Mornington Peninsula and shoot regularly across Melbourne, regional Victoria and Western Australia. I’m also available for interstate and international bookings — travel costs are discussed at enquiry and factored into your quote. Some of my favourite work has happened far from home.
What is the difference between Super 8, 16mm and digital film?
11
Great question — and the answer really does change which one is right for you.
Digital video is clean, sharp, and immediately accessible. It’s what most people picture when they think of a wedding highlight film.
Super 8 is shot on actual film — warm, grainy, alive. It has a quality that digital simply can’t replicate. Think of the footage your parents or grandparents might have from their wedding, but beautiful, and handled professionally with modern processes.
16mm is cinematic film at its finest — richer and higher resolution than Super 8, closer to what you’d see in a feature film. It’s the premium option for couples who want their wedding to look genuinely extraordinary and cinematic. Get in touch and I’ll help you choose.
Do you offer payment plans?
12
Yes. A 25% deposit secures your date, and we’ll work out a payment schedule from there that suits you. I accept PayPal, Credit Card, Afterpay, PayID, and Bank Transfer. If you have a specific situation, just ask — I’d rather find a way to make it work than have you miss out.
Are you insured?
13
Yes — I hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance. A contract is signed for every booking, and I’m happy to provide insurance details to your venue if required.
Bartering System
While we are a professional outfit and we will always prefer to work in a payment based system, we recognise the world is changing and human problems require human solutions. We believe in old fashioned values, specifically those centred around community and support. So we are trialing a barter system for the next 12 months, and see how it goes for us and the community. It will work on a dollar to dollar basis and either party can make up the difference, and there will be a contract as per every project we take on. It will not apply in conjunction with discounts and sales. All bookings must fall between April 2026 - April 2027. Please see the list of specific services we require. If you can offer one of these service’s and would like a photo or video session in return, please contact us and let us know about your services.
