What to expect when you work with me
I’m Lara — your photographer, your creative lead, and your single point of contact from the first enquiry through to the moment your gallery lands in your inbox. I personally direct, shoot, and edit every project I take on. When your day calls for more than what one person can physically cover — a second shooter, a specialist film technician, a videographer — I bring in a team of my most trusted professionals from my own carefully curated network. You’ll always know who’s coming, and you’ll always deal with me.

My Story
LouLou & the Moon began in 2022 — the year I became a mother. Becoming a mum changed everything I thought I knew about myself. So I decided, quite simply, that life was too short to not do the thing I loved most - recording life’s most precious moments. I was already a portrait and mural artist. I had spent over 20 years in and around the wedding industry in lots of different roles and suddenly after having a baby - I realised the role that mattered most was being the person behind the camera, preserving the moments that families will carry for generations.
My approach has always been the same: capture how a day feels, not just how it looks. I want my clients to be so present in their day that they forget I’m there — and then be completely ‘Over-the-Moon’ when they see their final gallery.
Over the years I’ve also built something I’m genuinely proud of: an incredible network of some of the best specialists in the industry to call on as my media team. Most solo photographers actually work this way — calling on trusted colleagues for support with second shooting, specialist formats, or larger productions. I believe its important to be completely transparent, so you know just what kind of experience you are getting with me, and because I think you deserve to know exactly who will be at your wedding and why they’re there. Every person I bring onto a project has been carefully handpicked by me. You’ll always deal exclusively with me while I manage my team. Everything goes through me first, (real world quality control manager here!) my standard never changes.
Being established, I also run education and mentoring programs for emerging photographers to help the next generation of photographers develop their skills and make the industry even better.
I love what I do. I love celebrating and recording your love story in beautiful and artistic ways that honour heritage, love and family bonds. And I love sharing what I know to help others do the same.
