How Do I Receive My Photo’s?

A few days after the shoot, you will receive a few edits in a small file to enjoy before the full gallery is completed. Once completed in 2-3 weeks you will receive an email with a link that will direct you to a website where you can download all your files. We STRONGLY advise you backup your photos on an external hard drive for safe keeping.

Can I purchase prints and photobooks later on?

Of course! In your Gallery there is a shop where you can see your products before printing them. We also create handmade develops in the studio. Please feel free to drop us an email with any questions you may have.

Can we bring our pets?

Absolutely! We love the fur babies. Please make sure you include this in your shoot description. However keep in mind the kind of shoot you are going for - animals can make things a bit less polished. Although, we do love it that way ourselves. We are here to capture your real beautiful moments. Please make sure that all animals are safe infant of the lens and also for the people around them.

Other stuff

We reserve the right to cancel/rearrange photoshoots as required due to weather and gear limitations, although this will be highly unlikely. We do not shoot around smoke as one of us is highly allergic so unfortunately if there is smoke around on the day we will not shoot and happily rearrange as soon as possible.

If you are sick or have Covid-19 we will rearrange the shoot to a time that suits you.

Some things we DO NOT shoot:

  • Birthday Partys

  • Full Nudes or Boudoir

  • Christmas Partys or Religious Ceremonies

  • Illegal Behaviour

  • After Partys

  • Surprise Partys

  • Birth Photography

  • Studio Portrait Photography

  • Commercial goods infront of murals or in the space of another business unless your own

  • Please no smoking

We are a busy Arts Practice and Studio so please keep in mind we hand pick our clients and photoshoots to suit our unique arts and photography business. Please do not be offended if we decide not to shoot for you. We have a very limited availability and our style is specific, but we can happily recommend another very talented local photographer.

What do I wear to a photoshoot?

Light flowy fabrics are beautiful in low light and sunset photos, however it depends on the kind of shoot you are wanting. Underwear and denim can be amazing for maternity and indoor shoots. We are all for patterns but keep it to a minimum of one pattern. Opt for layering textures and fabrics and make the most of the time of year. The little details do not go unnoticed, jewellery makes a beautiful addition to shoots. We also have a little collection of beautiful wardrobe pieces available. How long does it take to receIve my Photobook or prints?

Standard turn over time for personalised books and prints are 4-6 weeks but this can take a little longer depending on the number of photos to be printed, time of year and any wait times added by the printery. We will keep you updated about the timing of your photos as we know it. In the meantime you will have your photo gallery available digitally.

My parents surprised us from out of town, can they join in?

Of Course. We understand these things happen. Please make sure that your package caters to more individuals, as you may need to upgrade your package details and pricing.

Can I purchase the raw images?

You can, the cost is $500 per image.

Can you re-edit the images?

If there is an obvious issue that we have overlooked we would be happy to adjust the week of receiving your digital gallery. We hope that you chose us because you like our style and we deeply appreciate your trust in allowing us to create this photo package for you and edit them at our own discretion. We are Artists by trade, and may use filters and photo adjustment tools to adjust your image until it reflects a beautiful work of art. However we also want to capture a moment in time that is both beautiful and TRUE. So there may be occasions we do not edit out ‘imperfections’ because we love you the way you are. If there is something you would specifically like edited out, please make us aware in advance and we can discuss. If you would like a RAW image to edit yourself or have edited elsewhere, we UNDERSTAND and will not take offence. Please contact us with the item numbers of the raw images and we will send you an invoice.

My daughter Purchased a Photo Package and i would like to gift them some products. Can i order this?

You can… however, we also need to respect the privacy of our clients. Please let us know who you are and who you would like to purchase products for. We will contact the client letting them know “someone” would like to purchase a photo set for them, and “which photos would they like to have printed”, (as we will never print without the clients permission and freedom of choice) and then we will arrange to have the products delivered directly to the nominated client. We would be happy to add complimentary gift wrapping and a card with your message if you wish. This does not have to be in conjunction with a photo package and can be done at any time.

What happens if I cant make my shoot?

We require at least two weeks notice prior to cancellation of a shoot and we are happy to provide a full refund. However any cancellations later than two weeks will mean no refund of the deposit. If there are weather issues or an emergency we will be happy to reschedule, however keep in mind spots are limited and often booked out months in advance.

How do I book and pay?

A booking can be made by sending through your details in the contacts us section or email loulouandthemoon@gmail.com with as many details as you can provide about your upcoming shoot including information on all participating members. When you have decided on a package and any add-ons, you will be emailed an invoice with payment details. A 50% deposit is required to make a booking and the remaining 50% is required no later than 2 weeks prior to your shoot. If payment is not made prior to the 2 weeks, the shoot will not go ahead.

How can I use the photos?

You can use the photos however you wish however we do ask that you DO NOT edit or alter the images in any way and please tag us in your social media posts. The photos will not cost more if used for a commercial purpose however we would love a bit of warning if they are planning on being used for business - we will do a bit of extra editing and make sure they really pop according to your business needs and throw in a few low transparency images for promotional overlays.

How will you use the photos?

Any photos we take and edit may be used on the websites gallery and removed at any time. We also may use some of the captures for social media. We value your privacy as we value our own, and will never reveal full names or any other personal information on either the website or social media or to any third party.

What if my business branding does not match your style of photography?

The simple answer is then perhaps we are not for you. Our editing aesthetic is nostalgic and meaningful and runs deep within us. However we will do our best to adjust our editing to suit your brand while staying true to our editing style.
